Hey,
Can you tell me more about the bike ride? Is it hilly? If so, is it more downhill on the ride from Hobart or to? Am keen to ride one way and ferry the other.
Thanks

What an uplifting event. The highlight (for us) was the considerable numbers of younger cyclists (under 12) who were riding.

During the course of the winter months last year, when Pen and I rode into the city from Taroona on a daily basis, we rarely saw any young children cycling along this busy section of road.

We hope that the Council will vote in favour of the recommended cycleway so that not just the current cyclists can have safer facilities, but the vastly larger numbers of younger (and older) cyclists can feel empowered to ride their bikes also.

Would recommend those with time and motivation write a quick email to HCC Aldermen, to let them know your thoughts. We've done so this week and have had a positive response. More people making their elected officials aware of this, the higher chance they realise it is an important issue for the Hobart community.
